Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another

Our vision is to help offenders become productive members of their community while in prison and after they are released. We do this through spiritual awareness, financial education, shaping positive social values and a sense of responsibility.

Our mission is tto lead individuals that have been incarcerated into becoming productive members of society.

I had the honor of escorting these four ladies into Lansing Correctional Facility. Each one has had an experience with a loved one in prison. They each gave an impactful testimony about the weight and toll that lays on the wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters of incarcerated men. There were over 100 men in attendance.

Meet Tim. He was recently released from Lansing Correctional Facility. I had the blessed opportunity to minister to him and a few guys every month at the prison. Tim would lead us in praise and worship. He writes songs, sings and plays the guitar. He LOVES the Lord.

Since his release Growth Ministries has been covering, supporting and mentoring him. He has been doing everything he needs to be successful. He just starrted his contracting business as a plumber. He has several jobs lined up. We were able to help him get some tools to get started with your generous donations.

When I saw Tim today he said he does not want people to look at what he is doing but to look at God's victories in him.

Meet Adam. He has been under the mentorship of Growth Ministries Inc. for the past several months. He was released a week ago from prison and has not missed a beat. He has a great job, reestablished relationships, days away from having his driver's license reinstated, and is now a great father. This picture is of him at Church of the Harvest in Olathe with our Executive Director, Lonnie Johnson. He was committed to making it to worship service his 1st Sunday post incarceration. We are so proud of him.

Below is a video of Curtis right after he was released in 2018. This picture is him in 2021 with our Executive Director, Lonnie Johnson, who was officiating his wedding that day. Curtis continues to make valuable contributions to society and to Growth Ministries as a contributor to our magazine and in other ways.
